L'etoile Cafe

Went to a quaint indie cafe down by Owen road today. Its located at a really quiet place with very little cars and people about. Luckily i drove if not i'd probably lose my way! In the cafe it was different though cause it was fully packed with people!

Apparently its a lifestyle cafe which not only sells food but also cute little products as well.
The first floor is just like your normal cafe where you can read a few magazines and chill. The second floor has a totally different set of furnitures in like retro and antique themed styles. Real cosy!

In the end we got the seats on the first level cause we didnt have much choice ):

You can tell that they really put a lot of effort in the interior decor of the cafe!

The food there on the other hand was just so-so.
I feel that my Aglio Olio with Bacon ($14.90) was poorly presented and the taste was nothing really special :/

The Big Breakfast ($14.90) was also pretty average, nothing much to shout about.
I think I could probably do a better job lol.

Latte ($4.90)

Truffle Fries ($12)
Quite a disappointment too, i felt it was drenched in oil and the truffle taste wasn't strong enough.

Overall, I feel that its a great place for a nice weekend catch up or for dates (especially the nicely decorated 2nd floor!) This is probably the place you'd go to have a rather different experience from the other normal cafes out there if you're not picky about taste.

Oh, I heard they have really good latte art-ists there too and you can request for it!
